Curruca minula

Includes: Margelanic Whitethroat

Identification

Pale and sandy coloured with a white throat.

Distribution

Xinjiang (China) westwards to Turkmenistan and possibly into Iran.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

  • S. m. margelanica in most of range
  • S. m. minula in deserts of W China

Margelanica is sometimes split as Margelanic Whitethroat[1].

Habitat

Deserts and woodlands.
