Identification
Pale and sandy coloured with a white throat.
Distribution
Xinjiang (China) westwards to Turkmenistan and possibly into Iran.
Taxonomy
Two subspecies recognized:
- S. m. margelanica in most of range
- S. m. minula in deserts of W China
Margelanica is sometimes split as Margelanic Whitethroat[1].
Habitat
Deserts and woodlands.
