Identification

Distribution

South Africa, Angola, Botswana, and Namibia.

Taxonomy

Bradornis infuscatus has five subspecies:[1]

  • B. i. benguellensis
  • Arid coastal south-western Angola (Benguela) to north-western Namibia (Kaokoveld)
  • B. i. namaquensis
  • B. i. placidus
  • B. i. seimundi
  • B. i. infuscatus

It's sometimes placed in the genus Melaenornis or in the genus Agricola.

Habitat

Dry savanna.
