Distribution
South-east Asia: found in Indochina, Malaysia, Brunei, Borneo, Indonesia and Greater Sundas.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Hydrornis by Gill and Donsker[3].
Habitat
Dense cover in moist lowland forests to 600m.
