Distribution

Australasia: found in the Loyalty Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa and the Solomon Islands.

  • Rennell (south-eastern Solomon Islands)
  • M. c. pulcherrima:
  • Solomon Islands (San Cristóbal and Ugi)

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and mangroves and coastal scrub.
