Identification

17cm.

  • Mainly black
  • Erect black crest
  • Chestnut wings and tail
  • Dark iris

Distribution

Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, China, Laos, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Taxonomy

There are 2 subspecies.

Habitat

Rocky areas and scrubland.
