Identification

10cm. Deep blue above, sides of head and neck, prominent white patch runs from centre of throat, through breast to belly.

Distribution

Pakistan, Kashmir, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. Winters in India.

Hills and forests of oak, rhododendron, pine, fir, occasionally orchards.

The diet includes insects.
