    Type of Duck - Coos Bay, Oregon USA

    Saw this fellow amongst the mallards today (Feb 23rd) at a local park. I’ve never seen a mallard with a cinnamon colored head. Can someone ID please. (Probably just a manky mallard - as I’ve heard them referred to.) As usual, thanks for the help.

    Saw this juvenile today. Pelagic is more common in Coos Bay during the winter. May not be able to tell by this photo as the juveniles are fairly similar.

    Hi, took these yesterday (Feb 4, 2024) on the coast of Oregon. I think they are Common Loon and White-Winged Scoter, would like to verify as they will be lifers. The second Scoter photo shows him with what I think is a small crab he was eating. Thank you for any assistance. Lisa
