Dark-eyed Junco Southern Oregon 14 October (1 Viewer)

According to Sibley, there are 5 subspecies of Dark-eyed Junco, with your bird looking very much like “Oregon”Junco.

Cheers
To clarify this, there are 5 subspecies "groups", some of which have multiple subspecies within them. Birdsoftheworld.org lists 3 subspecies (including cismontanus) under "Slate-colored", 8 subspecies under "Oregon" etc.

Agreed with others that the bird in question is male "Oregon".
