    Fulmars!!! I live in an apartment in westward Ho! And whilst having my normal coffeeon the balcony this morning I had 2 fulmars flying around just above me no more than fifty yards above.     I currently manage a section of a welding and fabrication company and in my stainless steel workshop last year we had a pair of swallow's nest inside on our roof beams. going on below was grinding welding etc etc, happily they fledged 5 healty young how i dont know with all the commotion below...

    UK - have I found a Med Gull at last!

    Hi I am by no means an expert, but id differences are, much blacker head brighter red bill very contrasting to head and lack of black wing tips. i'm sure someone else will have others but these are the best to tell in the field especially when with BHG. Cheers Darryl

    Thanks Guys the one that got away it is then, I cant claim it if i cant be sure. And i'm definately not sure. the guys at minsmere said they couldnt be sure from the photo between sedge or aquatic so because of probabilty i reckon sedge. Cheers Darryl

    Hi Ian, Deffo not a reed warbler stong visible supercilium and crown stripe mottled wings along with streaky breast, I know this may not be evident in the bad photo, I think you need to use it along with my information from seeing the bird. Cheers Darryl
