    Brilliant stuff Nick! I'm trying to decide which of the two Waxwing/Mistle paintings I prefer. It's a tough choice but I think for me the earlier one just shades it. I love the composition and the colder palette of the one in post #1807.

    I love the way the Wood Sandpipers have turned out. I reckon a nice bright Serin against the rusty old fence will look just great. Or did you have other ideas for the background?
