Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Agreed, very creative. Mind you, if you gave up smoking you could probably afford to do this in gold leaf! ;)

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Love these B&W illustrations Nick. Excellent, every single one!

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Tremendous stuff Nick. All beautiful, but purples 3 and 4 for me. The new Waxwing/Thrush edges in as my favourite of the three versions.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Brilliant stuff Nick! I'm trying to decide which of the two Waxwing/Mistle paintings I prefer. It's a tough choice but I think for me the earlier one just shades it. I love the composition and the colder palette of the one in post #1807.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Lovely. The angles, the texture, the depth, but above all the feet!

Some lovely stuff here Nick, but I'm really taken with the Firecrest. Beautifully done.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Agree with the others on the chat. Brilliant. Somebody will come across that copy of the Railway Children in a second hand bookshop years from now and go "Blimey it's got an original Derry inside the front cover". ;)

Nice one, it looks good! I won't have to search through 70 pages of your thread to find my favourites now!

Fabulous sketching Nick. Really bold lines. I'm going to print off your table to show Maria when she complains about the state I leave ours in!

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Love the swifts Nick, it really makes you want to walk inside (particularly on a grey autumn day like today!). Congrats on the SWLA nomination too.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Is a gallery not just a room with paintings hanging up? What a pain.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

I take my hat off to you Nick. I wouldn't have dared touch the original Redstart (let alone wallpaper it!), but as usual you were right, it's so much more vibrant now.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Serin - good enough to eat! (as in like a lemon bonbon, not in a an eating little birds kind of way) Hoopoe - More style than I will ever be able to muster! Redstart - Finished surely??

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

I love the way the Wood Sandpipers have turned out. I reckon a nice bright Serin against the rusty old fence will look just great. Or did you have other ideas for the background?

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

Hah! I almost suggested it might be inspired by packing the suitcase, but wasn't cheeky enough! Anyway, welcome back, your sketchbook suggests you had a good time. Lovely stuff.

Welcome to Nick's dining room table.

This latest painting has quite a sinister feel to it. I'd love to hear more about your inspiration for it. Have a great holiday!

Ahh right. I thought the ! was the Ruddie's tail. Not too far off the mark. I bet your real signature gets a few raised eyebrows.
