Best rechargeable batteries to use for SB-800 (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm looking to buy some high quality rechargeable batteries for my SB-800. From the searching I've done it looks like Eneloops are good. Has anybody had any experience with these? Also would it matter when I recharged these (for example are you supposed to run them down before recharge or can you recharge at 50% or so?).

Any other suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

I use Eneloops in my SB-900 and couldn't be more happy with the results. Much faster refresh times and longer life than the alkalines and older NiMH batteries I had used before. My local Costco sells a 12 pack containing 8 AA and 4 AAA for $29 or so.

2nd the Eneloops! Brilliant batteries. I'm still using the same ones for ~4 yrs. now in both the D300 and the SB800. Last forever! (or at least 4 yrs...)

Thanks for the confirmation guys! Is there anything special I need to know about recharging them (is it best to run them all the way out, or should I recharge them when they are still going? I know with different batteries you're supposed to do different things).
