How do I tell, and what do I do with him. We found him in our window well, and got him out. He can't fly, and is just hopping around our back yard..do I feed him? If so what? How do I tell what kind of bird he is, and if he is hurt or just young? I haven't seen any adult birds come to help him so far. HELP

Hello there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

The very best thing you can do for the Robin is to put it back outside on the ground as close as possible to where you found it. This is common amongst juvenile birds that grow too big for the nest. The parents are always around keeping an eye on them and will continue to feed them on the ground until they are ready to take first flight.
