Anyone out there? (1 Viewer)

Plans for visiting Lafayette in December to visit relatives and find some wintering birds. Kankakee Sands looks good for some of our target species. We hope to find Short-eared Owl, Common Goldeneye, Lapland Longspur and, if Santa is really nice, Northern Shrike and Common Redpoll.
Can anyone confirm the area is good habitat for those species?
Thanks -

Steve
