Bird Spotted Red head white body black wings (4 Viewers)

Red-crested Cardinal escape and sort of match the description, though you woulda thought the crest maybe mentioned, and the wings are grey rather than black. Red-headed Woodpecker had a fairly high profile claim somewhere (in Wales I think?) a few years back that was rejected by BBRC. I agree with comments that it is extremely unlikely. Rog and Ken have a point in that non-birders descriptions can be a great description of a mega, when in reality they're a not so great description of a common bird. Photos would be great, much as I'm sure if they existed they would have been posted!

Red-headed woodpecker would have white wings on a black body, not the other way 'round.

Goldfinch sounds like a really clever suggestion to me.
