Camera Thread Help (1 Viewer)

Hoping someone can help me with this.
My Nikon Coolpix P100 thread has gone,therefore I can't mount the camera on a Tripod or Monopod.
Is there and easy kind of way of replacing the thread or shall I have to find a camera repair shop to fix It ?

I am not sure I would do this myself, but purchase a set like the one below, take the one that has the correct size and glue it onto the bottom of your camera?
