3 Groppers present (at least) - a further one towards the middle of the reedbed. They probably arrived overnight as it was quiet yesterday evening and the conditions didn't seem too bad. Having said that, they are very unpredictable when they first arrive.

My first Orange Tips (2) and Speckled Woods (2) of the year this morning. A few Brimstones and Comma.

Migrants few and far between - 6 Willow Warblers, a few Swallows, 1 House Martin, 1 Reed Warbler and 1 Sedge Warbler

Egyptian Goose in adjacent field then flew off. 3 Greylags flying around.

HOODED CROW flew over near Moat Farm, Sinton Lane near Ombersley about 5 minutes ago, heading towards Gardner's Grove, Hadley area

The Hooded Crow was only seen in flight but was seen well and appeared very cleanly marked - as good as any I've seen in Scotland or Greece. Must be a rare occurrence in Worcestershire these days.

A Lesser Whitethroat sang a couple of times near Tapenhall farm - new for year.
A pair of Egyptian Geese with 6 young goslings on flooded area near Moat Farm (or are they technically ducklings? - looked very similar to Shelduck young) - so confirmed breeding of this species (not sure how significant that is).

Where did you see Egyptian Geese with young?

Hi Andris,

You can view them from Sinton Lane near Moat Farm SO849627 - there is a flooded section of a grassy field. Viewing from the gate is usually OK but they can go out of view as the land undulates in front of the flooded area.
