you got it, nick. it's a juv. black kite. it just didn't came to my mind.. pretty embarrassed with my stumbling through the raptor genuses :-C
do you have them in northern greece in winter? well, obviously.

We have them here all the time.This is an observation from charis.
My last Black kite was in Kerkini lake .That was very good from Charis.
After a difficult pic , now an easy one...

I don't think it could be red backed, because of the white wing bar and dark crown, but worth a try.
