First bird of 2024 (1 Viewer)

Heard a Robin singing then a Blackbird calling before first light. Then saw them both in the opposite order.

Ahh well. After a delayed start mine was House Sparrow.

A Goldeneye duck was my first bird of 2024. Second was a Robin.

American Crow heard while I was getting dressed. The cat went to look at them, so I went to the window and put them in the "seen" category. Second bird of the year was Fish Crow.

The neighbourhood magpies, followed by some wood pigeons.

I was up late, but the first bird of the year for me was Starling out of the lounge window - 2 flying past. (Followed by Woodpigeon and Herring Gull).

Goes without saying - Happy New Year and good birding for 2024 to all!!!! (I didn't say it in post #1 as forgot)

Tufted Titmouse! looked out my window right when I woke up and waited to see what the first one would be!

The first individual bird was an owl of some sort, flying near the road in near dark. It wasn't much of a view and I have no idea which species it was. So the first identifiable bird ended up being a Magpie.
