Relatively large ears and habitat suggest Bank Vole.
Oh cool, sorry I was unaware of the bank vole.

It was found in an an area full of dead logs, which one prefers this sort of habitat? The are had no streams, with the closest lake being about a 1.5 km away.

If it's a vole in a forest (in that region of Europe), it's usually a Bank Vole, which (apart from Red Squirrel and Brown Rat) is also the easiest rodent to see. So if it's a wooded place with dead logs and preferably some undergrowth, that sounds good for Bank Vole. Of course, with the caveat that habitat preferences do overlap to some extent.

Its a wooded area and it seemed to have come from under some logs. I've changed my mind, pretty confident with bank vole- thanks.
