Good, its worth adding some of these to help as there are a few poorly levelled images that go in the gallery, it always amazes me how few people know of the easy tricks, such as holding down the 'alt' key to see where highlight or shadow clipping occurs, it all makes such a difference to the final image!

Well, I didn't know about the "alt" trick either but will use it in future. It's nice to read a common sense explanation instead of one with too much techno jargon when I usually end up being more confused than when I started.

That's a new one for me, as well. I usually stop the black and white pointers just short of the 'rise' in the histogram to help prevent clipping but that tip gives you the precise point (providing you don't shoot black cats in coal cellars, of course ;) )
