I tried a slug of $1K roof-prism binoculars and I think the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 is still the best for the money! (3 Viewers)

I would stay away from the older Conquests, the new models handle issues like CA (for those sensitive to it) much better than the previous models. Transmission was low in relation to the new models. Save money and move on.

Thanks! Since I tried all these binoculars, I thought I would just pass along my feelings and opinions. It doesn't necessarily mean the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 will be the best binocular for you, but it is a good one to try. In the end, everybody has to try the binocular themselves to see which one they prefer. Our eyes, eye sockets and brains are all different.
