Getting there but the sheer volume of species and pics remains a challenge. Useful exercise though in reinforcing identifications and memories so determined to press on.... As at the end of day four, my trip list was 177 with 149 species photographed. 😀

Challenging 20th February editing currently. According to my notes, I photographed Dusky Antbird, Dot-winged Antwren, Black-hooded Antshrike and Slaty Antwren... Steep learning curve all over again & to be blunt interesting to work out if I did and whether you can tell which is which from the photos. What will make the grade? At the moment, black/brown things with white bits on the wings that all look the same when you have a small obscured image from the front in the depths of a forest!!!!

Still there this morning according to the news services. It is around:-

The feeder is unobtrusive in an area of bushes near a couple of areas of cleared reeds. Effectively a green container a few feet above the ground with a couple of ledges/holes cut into it.

Wheatear, today on my patch, was my 699th species in eBird for the year so it will be interesting to see the photo yearlist number when I finally catch up.... Still plugging away on the Costa Rican pics.

Off for a short break targeting Rock Partridge for a few days from Sunday. Before then, I hope to have got through all the Costa Rica pics to select those to edit and get uploaded on my return.

I am due to be away again in Canada (and briefly Michigan) for a fortnight from 13th May so planning to be up to date by say mid-April to fit in more birding before then.
