Happy New Year everybody.
I am sat watching 5 really aggressive starlings squabbling with each other,
1 blackcap who thinks the fat tray is his,
the pied wagtail with yellow cheeks who spends most of the day here,
6 blue tits,
the 6 chaffinches who are very quiet today,
2 sparrows (the rest must have gone visiting elsewhere),
1 great tit,
1 goldfinch,
3 blackbirds,
2 collared doves,
1 robin
1 dunnock
2 jackdaws
Bongofury, I haven't seen my funny little bird since but my son got a shot of it yesterday and forgot to put it on my computer. When we looked closely and compared it to a juvenile house sparrow it looked very similar, so unfortunately I don't think it is as exciting as I would have hoped for.
Do you count the gulls that sit on the chimneys of all our bungalows and cry like babies at each other?
I nearly forgot the giant sized crow that came down to the feeders yesterday and tried to take the whole suet block. It fell!!!
Oh how I long for some of your exciting birds, (not that I don't like the ones I have got but some people are never happy)
Update, 9 starlings, making such a racket!!!
