I normally watch the feed station for a few minutes whenever I pass the kitchen window or door but rarely longer than 5 minutes unless there is a particularly good photo opportunity . This means that I probably look for a few minutes every 20 minutes or so throughout the day
Today I spent a very unacustomed 1.5 hours watching the feeders and spotted our first ever Blackcap.
I'm beginning to wonder how many other uncommon species are coming and going without my knowledge.
How many here actually set aside some time every day to watch their feeders for half an hour or more at a time ?
