Hi,
I was initially determined to buy an old version Leica Trinovid BCA around $400~, but after searching the reviews, I kind of switch to the Zeiss Victory 8x20.
The question I have is I don't really care the leather case much, but care about the optical performance more. From the posts here, I notice the old Zeiss 8x20(with cloth pouch) may use older silver coating, instead of the new Dielectric coating. Is this true ?
I'm planning to buy the 8x20 from CameralandNY.com, they have leather in demo and old style new, any one bought the old version from them has the same coating as the new style? Or the other way around?
If there's optical difference from the old and new, I have to think about buying their demo new style (I can't afford brand new for new version )
Thanks and have a good weekend!
Eric
