It's a beautiful frosty Sunday morning here. The sun's out and the sky's clear. Looks like it will be well above zero (32F) later.

My random post to remind folks to limit the reply to one per day going forward. Please help spread the word on this.

Thanks

Charles

With the 2nd pair of bins run and won,
It's time for some fun,
Can't hide my disappointment,
But with the Prime HD's it's just as well, I've scheduled a winning appointment,
In the meantime when the soldier birds sound the alarm, knowing outside is the place to be,
It's still the old clunkers for me

So I thought I'd poke my head out, and have a look see,
And saw a crested pigeon, which gave me cause t exclaim "well I'll be...."
You see he'd look skyward first lifting one wing, then to be replaced by the other,
The raindrops on his head, did not bother,
Then I'll be damned, if it wasn't the most peculiar thing,
He seemed to be, washing under each wing!

Stormy skies approaching, with an ominous look,
Time to turn off the computer, and swap for a book,
Dollarbirds a razzin', skulking goshawks,
Distant bolts of lightning, coming down in forks,
It turned into a torrential downpour,
Some said at a rate of 3" an hour,
But I'd say closer to four,

Its just as well, the heavens open for only 10 minutes,
Any more and the creek, would surely have exceeded the limits,
Cows a grazing, without a care,
Under black stormclouds, seemingly unaware,
Clap! Boom! Thunderstruck!, they took off with a jump,
Nearly clearing the moon in one bound, a bolt just missing the rump :eek!:

So my friends, what a sight to behold,
Seasons in one day, we've had them four-fold,
From bright sunshine to rain pouring so hard, can't hear myself think,
But that's okay folks, 'cause the land needs a drink....

Chosun :gh:

For long, long time.............. the earth - she cry....
now, the children - they cry too....
All terribly, terribly sad....

Cold and bored today, but that's sunday for you. Still I have a week off and hope to catch up with the American wigeon down Wakey way.
