Too bleary eyed for birding, went to a 40th birthday party last night. Had to make do with urban birds and their songs while going to the shops.

That kept us busy proffering
Our thoughts and roundelays –
Of course the theme was standard,
To Zen-Rays it was bound
To your ad. needs we pandered
As we went round and round –
Some entries were aesthetic,
While some just left a post,
And those that waxed poetic
Were those that wrote the most.
I think I’m going to miss the fun
Of never being sure
If I would be the lucky one –
Or if I’d write some more.
But as it happens, to the end,
You’ve had to suffer me
And Delia too who did contend
My wish for Prime HD;
Who feefed my smileys right and left
And made me laugh each night
Her argument was always deft,
A positive delight.
So good luck if you're in the draw
Tomorrow is the day
Someone here will win the war,
With Primes they’ll walk away.
