I cant wear any wool can anyone recommend any socks to keep my feet warm birding this winter and not get blisters from wearing two pairs?

Ther'es a 25% off sale at Millets where you can get Brasher, Pete Storm etc socks in wool free Coolmax.
I particularly like the the loop pile ones but have draw full of Coolmax and they are all pretty good.
I recently tried 1000miles two layer socks and don't get on with them at all - end up with the inner all rucked up around my toes - very uncomfortable.
I wear heavy socks all year as I prefer cushioning and these modern socks wick well and don't pong.

Not sure if it's nationwide but the Millets here in Nottingham is doing two pairs of Brashers for the price of one.

Same problem with an allergy to wool. I would recommend thin coolmax liner socks under Brasher walking socks. I don't see why this should cause you blisters as long as your boots are a good fit.

Hi,

for high mountains I use normal walking socks e.g. from Falke and polartec socks.

Best regards
Dieter
