Amazilia Hummingbird
Amazilia Hummingbird (Amazilia amazilia subsp. dumerlii) Sexes similar. Photographed in Chaparr a private ecological reserve, ca. 60-70 km east of Chiclayo, Lambayeque Department, Peru. Departments are equivalent to states in the USA. Equatorial dry forest composed of desert scrub and cacti at ca. 29 m (95 ft) elevation. The reserve lies at the base of Cerro Chaparr which rises to 1,342 m (4,403 ft) in elevation.
