Blackbird (Blackbird)

In May, I went to visit my father in Peterborough and I took some time out to visit the birding places I enjoyed most as a child. On my walk to the edge of the fen I passed through a park. A couple of blackbirds were feeding on a large open green. There was a small patch of land that I thought would provide an attractive environment for a blackbird to appear in so I got myself in a convenient hollow for some low level shots and hoped a bird would eventually walk into the spot where I was pointing my camera. As luck would have it ( I rarely have luck) one of the blackbirds flew right onto spot and cocked its tail which was the second stroke of luck I had. I could not have wished for a better pose.

Doux ...I see what you mean....you clearly have a subconscious influence over me!

Well, l'm not sure if it was luck but you've got yourself one very impressive image! The setting is gorgeous and the pose of the blackbird is sublime. Very well done!

It really is perfection in terms of pose and setting, Adrian! Just beautiful . It makes for a happy week when you get a bit of luck with a photograph - glad it happened for you ;)
