Our first Bullfinch

Apologies for the not best quality but This wee fella was not around that long and it was taken through a window.
I just had time to get my camera and snap it before it was gone .
Never seen one before today.I knew it was a finch though .So well done me.

He was in and out.Very rare we get them in our garden but the niger feeder is going down very slowly so someone is eating from it and the tits and usual garden birds never go near the feeder for niger.
 
I also have niger feeder and only have goldfinches eating it.
Well I did they seem to have dissapeared over the last few weeks.

Nice one!!!! They're super birds and not one I get to see in the garden here... well, once I think.

There's a few of us take pictures through the window - I'm not as good at keeping mine clean as I should be though LOL!!
 
lovely capture.try planting some fruit trees they love the buds.alot of gardeners hate these little birds because of this.all the best margaret.
