Strange-looking beast isn't it Niels.

Is it me or does it have a dark tip to the bill? Not sure if that's common though.

Nice comparison shot Niels and there seems to be more than one with the dark tip on the bill.

I think that two of the others have dark tips, and several of the other Cattle Egret shots in the gallery do have dark tips; on some images it looks like the bill generally easily gets dark miscoloration.

However, feather miscoloration is much less rare, only one example surfaced in the Id forum thread.
