Dream 20 : River (Anser anser)

I am
Nearly all gone
Broken
Bruised and battered
Yet there survives
Deep within me
Me myself
A part of you
My Sweetheart

This pic. of Greylag Geese was taken
at Okhla Bird Sanctuary , located at
River Yamuna bed and bank.
Pressure of development is clearly seen here
on the near-dead Delhi stretch of the River.
Yet the birds are holding on.
Leaving behind their pristine summer habitat
these geese come to this polluted stretch
and heavily disturbed environs.
Delhi Bird Census even reported sighting of
rare Baikal Teal after more than 40 years ,
in this very stretch . Its Pic. appeared in a
National Daily.
