Eurasian Blackbird
This is (obviously) another shot of the bird I posted earlier: it hasn't finished preening and still looks rather dishevelled. But once it found that perch, it stayed a full two or three minutes until the job was done. (SF aside, it's always good to see bill and eye in a bird photo).

another gorgeous photo of this very cooperative blackbird, John, I wonder if it doesn't show some traces of partial leucism on its head; top notch, many tfs!!

Yes, I was wondering if anyone would remark on the small pale marks on the head. A couple are just visible in the earlier image, if you look carefully. I took 30 or so shots, enough to be certain the marks aren't an artefact of processing. Partial leucism as you say, I guess.

Finally caught Mr. Bashful looking up. Love that yellow eyeing and bill showing beautifully against that black plumage. First-rate John!
