Long-horned Bee (Melissodes sp.: Apidae) ca. 8 mm long and a Weevil Wasp (Cerceris sp.: Crabronidae ) ca. 6 mm long. The plant is Greggs Mistflower (Conoclinium greggii: Asteraceae) My house, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA. Planted flower beds at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.

Aptly named and well captured in mid flight....managed this only once ...long time back... Well exposed and timed capture...Superb post Stanley!!!
