Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, fresh water marsh with some open water (shoveler pond) surrounded by coastal prairie and marshes at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.

Shoveler Pond, Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Chambers County, Texas, USA.
