Wilsons Phalarope (Phalaropus tricolor) Photographed in a small marshy pond in Hazel Bazemore Park, a Nueces County Park in Calallen, Texas, USA. Sexually dimorphic in breeding plumage. Open flat floodplain, marshy ponds and transitional riparian forest dominated by cedar elm and coastal live oak situated in the Gulf Prairies and Marshes Vegetation Area. The elevation where the ponds are is ca. 1 m (3.3 ft).
