Loch of The Lowes Ospreys 2010 (5 Viewers)

Well looks like the virtual bets are off this year and the season coming to an end sooner than expected. I always thought Eric went before chicks and this was the rule but had heard when I was up in July that the rule is dad should be last beginning to look as if clumsy Frank has followed all the rules except watching placing his large sticks! Must have been a good teacher as well if both chcks have indeed gone early confident in their fishing. Lets wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Ok the virtual bets still on Dad seen today, get the feeling Ann you will be the winner or at least closest with the 25th but lets wait and see.

I haven't been able to access any part of the SWT website for about 12 hours now.... no cams, no diary, no main SWT page (comes up as a list of links, but when I click on a link I get a "Not Implemented" message. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi Marjory

I got through to the Diary via the link on the Opus article. I wonder if the webcams have been switched off, as I can't get them either.

Mind, there's been an awful lot of rain and wind today, so that may be the reason.

D

Thanks Delia. I clicked on the "Loch of the Lowes" link at the bottom of the page and still got the same "Not Implemented" message... And I haven't done anything with my browser. I use Firefox. I have Safari also, I may try that later. Late for work now! Thanks again for trying.

Had to try on my Safari browser and it worked! So either Firefox has a problem, or SWT changed its settings to interfere with access by a Firefox browser... Or I hit something accidentally to change my Firefox settings. But I don't think I could do that without about 4 different steps so not sure what to do (I hate Safari) but at least I can see the diary! Thanks for letting me know it was actually up and running, Delia. Cheers, Marjorie

I'm using Firefox Morjorie... so it's not that per se that is your problem.

No good at solving pc problems though LOL

Thanks again Delia. Went to the Firefox help site and within 60 seconds I got to a page with instructions on how to clear my "cookies" and "cache", which is what they said I should do when I can load some web pages with other browsers but not Firefox. Problem solved!! (But it wiped out all my saved passwords so I then had to change my password to sign on here again! I couldn't remember my password!) Anyhow all is well now! Except that the ospreys are gone on their migration... I will miss them!

Oh of course... silly me... I should have known that one! Glad you're sorted now.

Now for your Password. In Firefox, if you've asked it to Remember, go into Tools>Options>Security>Saved Passwords.

Then select Show passwords and OK the message that pops up. Scroll down until you find the website you're looking for.

ummm... at least I don't think this gets lost when you clear your Cookies LOL

Webcams are still down I see :-C (or don't actually:-O).

Ann you win the virtual bet as closest with my birthday and 25th's blog suggests they have all gone. I am sure Sean, your brother and certainly myself (with a very nice, indeed excellent, chinese meal and a few glasses of the red grape juice to keep my 5 a day up) have had a great birthday. Cannot remember if we actually placed a prize but suggest virtual Stovies from the Taybank washed down with virtual drink of your choice and we will all join in.

Although I only managed up there twice this year this sites contributors, reading the blog, the skill of the team and most importantly the BIRDS have made this the best and the most emotional year since I started watching 2005. I have also enjoyed the introduction to Barn owls here and across the pond.

It is I guess time to wish you Ann, Tiger, the completely new addict Nick, the LoTL team and all other contributers to this years Osprey watch a great winter season ( I spend photo editing and archiving in fact this year also doing a college course to maybe start using the camera correctly:-O) and look forward to catching up with you all again next March when either against the odds, unfortunately, we see Marge return or the battle to takeover a grand old Osprey's nest, all the best to the Lady of the loch, the new Laird and yourselvesB :)B :):t:

and you Tom. I'll be a year older by the time we get any ospreys back :(. My brother who shared his birthday with you will be a dad late March next year so I've got a fair bit to look forward to. Due another step grandbaby the first week of April so I'm in a win win situation LOL. Hope you had a great day and it seems you did. XXXXX
