Hi Phil on the GBBG I think you may be right I am not always 100% with the gulls but it was much darker than the LBBG sitting next to it on the bean and it was slightly larger as well.
On the Avocets I saw 4 adults and 2 youngsters, the Dunlin 3, didn't get count for Green Sandpiper or Common sorry.
Did see 2 Juv Water Rail in the reed bed on the right of the West Hide Did see 5 Great Crested Crebe on the Moors Poool and 4 on the sailing pool hope this helps.
Kind Regards
BCB
Brief glimpse of Water Rail (appropriately enough) in front of Water Rail hide too.

Please note its the Trust's policy not to provide bins in the hides at the Flashes; can visitors please not leave any rubbish in the hide and take it home with youselves.
If it is Tawny Owl primary it will have small 'fluffy' edge to it. Looks like a Buzzard primary
Hobby looks like a 2cy or 1st summer bird due to less intense red between the legs, brown flight feathers with faint rufous tips to the coverts. Rather than pale inbetween the legs and obvious rufous tips to the coverts.

That was my initial thought too Craig
I'd also agree that this is a Pheasant primary, Buzzard should be cleaner white where this one shows more mottled brown.
A great site that I managed to find for identifying bird feathers can be found here
