Dear members and bird watchers!

Any one know what is wrong with the plumage of this weaver?

Never seen this before white. Is it just the change of plumage or is the bird sick?

Kind regards and happy birding

It could be moulting from juvenile plumage to adult male. There are brown feathers on the nape which should not be shown by an adult male but would be a feature on juvenile birds. The scattered paler feathers on the underparts could be retained juvenile feathers bleached by the sun.

Thank you again!

Now you and Niels have helped me many times, appreciated.

Kind regards and happy birding
