I caught six males and eight females last night, looks like they're her to stay!

Star moth of the night, below, was an addition to my list.

A Cypriot government scientist has confirmed Spodoptera frugiperda as being present on Cyprus after taking three specimens from me and sending them abroad for verification.

Not much happening here but the ministry of agriculture have just been and placed a pherimone trap for Spodoptera frugiperda.

Here's another new species for me, Orthonama obstipata

Things are starting to get going again on the moth front here, I attach a few bits from last night that those of you mothers, lucky enough to live in coastal UK, could possibly catch some day

252 Yellow Belle Aspitates ochrearia
Portland Ribon Wave Idaea degeneraria
893 Levant Blackneck Tathorhynchus exsiccata
077 The Cosmopolitan (I think?) Leucania loreyi

I also include a Wave and a Noctuid that I'm yet to ID so if anyone can help out I'd be grateful.

Not posted in a while so here are a few recent bits, some with the potential to be seen in the UK.

Starting to get a bit more interesting here now.

Silver-striped Hawkmoth plus, a Western Palearctic, tick for me in the form of this enormous, Convulvulous Hawkmoth. An attractive Chafer too with this Anoxia orientalis.
