Songbird Call - Tampa, FL, USA

I see, thank you for the input! After listening to more than just the eBird recordings of the Carolina Wren I feel more comfortable ID'ing this as a Wren. I appreciate your input! Today I Learned! As for why my merlin wouldn't ID it as such is another issue :^) Thank again!

Songbird Call - Tampa, FL, USA

I did a listen to their calls and while this is close, its not exact. It is also odd that both Merlin and BirdNET failed to recognize it as such. I disagree here. The chittering/tremolo calls of a Carolina Wren don't match up to my ear or on the spectrogram.

Songbird Call - Tampa, FL, USA

I listened through all the eBird and AllAboutBirds calls for them, no dice. I'm not saying it isn't one but It just doesn't sound like one to me.

Songbird Call - Tampa, FL, USA

Hello! I have attached two recordings of a bird call I heard the other day in Tampa, Florida. It is not a call I've heard before and both Merlin and BirdNET cannot appear to ID it. I have attached the original recording as well as an edited "Boosted" version. I did not get a visual on the...

Canon EOS 80D always slightly "fuzzy"

Hello everyone! Goodness!! Thank you for all the wealth of advice and tips on how to solve my problem. I truly appreciate it! I have found that indeed my shutter speed was way too low, upping it to 1/8000 (my camera's max) made pictures a lot more sharp! I will have to try the other tips such as...

Canon EOS 80D always slightly "fuzzy"

Hello! I am an avid birdwatcher and photographer for a little over a year now and I have absolutely loved using my Canon EOS 80D for it. I have recently been trying to up my game and increase the quality of my shots by reading guides and tutorials. I have been trying to get better in flight...

    Black Vulture Cold Shoulder

A group of 9 Black Vultures I came across in a suburban neighborhood were picking at some roadkill carcasses. This one noticed me and lined up for this elegant shot.

    Mother Pileated and Chicks

Had the absolute pleasure of capturing a rare moment of a Mother Pileated Woodpecker tending to her babies. She fed them for a little while before noticing us and kept an eye on us until we left, protecting her babies I guess!

    "Sitting" Sandhill Crane?

Hi there. I was recently testing a new Lens I got with a beautiful Sledge of Sandhill Cranes foraging on a hill. I noticed one of the Cranes was "sitting" on the bottom part of its legs (The Tarsus I believe its called). It sat like that for a while as it pecked around and ate. It moved a bit...
