    BirdingApp

Dear birdwatchers. As an app developer / birdwatcher I have combined my hobbies and developed an app for birdwatchers, together with a friend. The app is called BirdingApp and it is just released to the iOS appstore. It was already present for a while in the Android play store. It's a...

    Bird ID apps

I do not know any app that has this capability for Asia specific. I have developed BirdingApp (hobby project) for Android devices, it contains almost every Asian species but has no feature for identificating birdspecies, it is more like a search engine. I think that this is not exactly what you...

What general advices can you give to a novice wildlife photohunter?

This is my strategy too, works out fine. You only need to be careful in specific situation. For example when you take pictures besides a road where traffic is coming towards you. Little rocks and splashing water could damage your lens.

ad a great day spotting wildlife,.. Went out with my wingman Dirk Jan armed with binoculars, camera's, coffee, potato chips and some beers. The weather was great, it was clear and it was not too cold so we expected a lot of bird species and a lot of fun. Another goal we had set is to take a few...

hawk of sparrow-hawk in The Netherlands

Hi, I have photographed this species in flight,.. My best guess (as an amateur) is that it's an sparrow-hawk or a hawk. It seemed a bit too big for a sparrow-hawk. Peace of cookie for some of you I hope? Photographed it at the edge of a forest with a lake nearby.
