Distribution
Andaman Islands, Indian Ocean.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.[1]
Treated as a race of Crested Serpent Eagle S. cheela by some authors.(Citation needed)
Habitat
Forest clearings in the interior of islands.
Replaced by davisoni race of Crested Serpent Eagle in coastal forest.[1]
Behaviour
The diet includes birds, frogs, lizards, snakes, and rats.
