Genus: Haplospiza
Description
Taxonomy
Haplospiza is a genus in the family Thraupidae.
It was formerly placed in the family Emberizidae.
Slaty Finch is placed here by most authorities but Clements has instead placed it in a monotypic genus Spodiornis - this is based on a decision from the AOU SACC.
