Overview
At 220 miles the Severn is the longest river in the United Kingdom.
It rises near Llanidloes, Powys in Mid Wales, passing through Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire before entering the Bristol Channel.
There are many nature reserves in the area.
