Western Africa: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, DRC and Angola
Eastern Africa: found only in Uganda
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- E. m. nigeriae:
- Dense forests of Sierra Leone to Guinea and south-western Nigeria
- E. m. mccallii:
- E. m. congicus:
- Eastern and southern Zaire to western Uganda
Habitat
Moist montanes and swamps.
