Africa
Western Africa: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, DRC and Angola
Eastern Africa: found only in Uganda

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 3 subspecies^[1]:

• E. m. nigeriae:

• Dense forests of Sierra Leone to Guinea and south-western Nigeria

• E. m. mccallii:

• South-eastern Nigeria to Cameroon, Gabon and Zaire

• E. m. congicus:

• Eastern and southern Zaire to western Uganda

Habitat

Moist montanes and swamps.
