Trogon clathratus

Identification

Similar in size and shape to Slaty-tailed Trogon, both sexes of the Lattice-tailed Trogon can be separated from this species by the fine barring on the tail, the white iris, and the yellow bill.

Distribution

Caribbean slope foothill forests of Costa Rica and Panama

Wet, mossy rain forest.
