Distribution
North East Siberia to Kuril Island and Japan; winters to South East Asia and Sumatra.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Low mountain woodlands and forests; farmland, parks and gardens.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of insects, spiders, fruits and seeds. They forage on the ground in leaf litter, and also in trees and bushes for berries.
