Genus: Perisoreus

Description

Three species of jays from Asia and North America.
All three have a very similar shape and a rather small, fine bill.
The all have mucus-secreting glands inside the mouth. This mucus is used to produce foot balls which are stuck firmly to trees for storage.

Taxonomy

Perisoreus is a genus in the Family Corvidae.
